JOHNSON COUNTY —Thanks to an observant driver, officers were alerted to a reported intoxicated wrong-way driver traveling dangerously with their lights off at night on March 8 around 8:15 p.m. near Pflumm Road and Blackfish Parkway, according to a social media report from Shawnee, Kansas police.
Officers safely stopped the vehicle and took the suspect into custody before the driver could hurt themselves or anyone else.
"Please always make a plan before drinking to have a safe ride home with a ride-share company or sober driver."
