TOPEKA - Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt has been re-appointed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) to chair the Property & Casualty (C) Committee, commonly referred to as the “C Committee.”
“The pandemic has created new challenges and opportunities,” Commissioner Vicki Schmidt said. “I look forward to continuing to lead the effort to find innovative solutions to some of the industry’s most pressing challenges.”
The (C) Committee’s work includes but is not limited to issues such as property and casualty insurance, title insurance, pet insurance, flood insurance, business interruption insurance and transparency and readability of consumer information.
Commissioner Schmidt is the second Commissioner from Kansas to Chair the (C) Committee.
In addition to her leadership on the (C) Committee, she will also continue serving on the Life Insurance and Annuities (A) Committee.
