
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an aggravated robbery and have made an arrest.
Just before 6 p.m., October 5, a suspect , later identified as Tyrelle D. Burk, 36, of Topeka, took items by force from a teenage girl who was walking in the area of SW 6th Avenue and SW Clay Street in Topeka, according to Police Lt. Jerry Monasmith.
Burk displayed a knife during the robbery The teenage girl was not injured.
On Thursday, police with assistance from community members, identified and located Burk near SW 4th Street and SW Harrison Street in Topeka.
As a result, police arrested Burkand booked him into the Shawnee County Department on requested charges of Aggravated Robbery, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
