
KANSAS CITY — A Kansas City-area man faces charges for business robberies in Independence in April, May and June, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.
Zachary I. Caldwell, 24, is charged with four counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree.
According to court records filed June 30, Caldwell robbed four Independence business in 2023: on April 20, at a Walgreens on South Sterling Avenue, on May 14, 2023, at a CVS on West 23rd Street, on May 20 at a Metro by T-Mobile store on East 23rd Street and on June 7, at the same Metro b T-Mobile store he robbed in May.
Video surveillance at each business captured the robberies and allowed detectives to identify him. He remains in the Jackson County Jail, according to online court records.
