This week, the Meade County sheriff's office reported that On January 17, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2009 Toyota Corolla in Meade County. The traffic stop led to the consensual search of the car. Deputies found 37-pounds of suspected fentanyl pills. 167,000 pills with a street value of approximately $850,000, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old Julio Beltran. He is not an American citizen, according to the sheriff's office. Beltran remains jail on requested charges of distribution of a controlled substance, no drug tax stamp, use of a phone to commit a felony
