Kan. man lost $4500 in alleged job offer scam

MANHATTAN—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a theft scam that included an allege job offer.

Just after 3:30p.m. Wednesday, police filed a report for theft in the 2200 block of Prairie Glen Place in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department report.

A 39-year-old man reported an unknown suspect scammed him through a job offer that included payment for a vehicle.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $4560. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
