SHAWNEE COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating an accident that left a child dead in Shawnee County.
Just before 7:30p.m. Wednesday, a Jeep Wrangler was northbound in the 3900 block of NW Carlson Road, according to Sheriff's Deputy Abigail Christian.
The jeep left the roadway, struck a culvert and rolled. First responders performed lifesaving procedures on scene. The back seat juvenile passenger was pronounced deceased. The 40-year-old driver refused medical treatment. The sheriff's office released no additional details.
