Kansas man dies, another injured after pickup, semi crash

KINGMAN COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just before 1p.m. Wednesday in Kingman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Ford F150 driven by  Benjamin Todd Sickles, 44, Kingman, was northbound on SW 70th Avenue. The driver failed to yield  right of way at a stop sign at U.S. 54.

An eastbound 2022 Peterbilt semi driven by Anthony Michael Rigdon, 39, Skiatook, Oklahoma, struck the pickup on the driver side. 

Sickles was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to  Livingston Funeral Home. EMS transported a passenger in the pickup  Dakota Alan Harbert, 28, Kingman, to Wesley Medical Center. Rigdon was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
