ATCHISON COUNTY — A Kansas teen riding a bicycle was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Monday in Atchison.
Chandler Moorshead, 18, Atchison, was riding a bicycle southbound on 11th Street and was unable to stop at the stop sign at Kansas Avenue, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The bicycle struck an eastbound SUV driven by Elizabeth Collins of Atchison.
EMS transported Chandler to Amberwell and later Life Flight transported him to a Kansas City hospital, according to Wilson. Authorities released no additional details early Tuesday.
