SALINA —Willie Nelson is coming to Salina in August.
The Willie Nelson and Family performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. Aug. 17 in the Stiefel Theatre, 151 S. Santa Fe Avenue.
Tickets start at $96 and go on sale at noon Friday. The new Stiefel walk-up box office is open near the main entrance M-F, noon-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. You also can purchase tickets by calling the Stiefel at 785-827-1998. If you need to leave a message calls will be returned within several hours. In recent years, he has delivered more than a dozen new albums, released a Top 10 New York Times' bestsellers book, again headlined Farm Aid, an event he co-founded in 1985, been honored by the Library of Congress with their Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, received his fifth degree black belt in Gong Kwon Yu Sul, headlined the annual Luck Reunion food and music festival during SXSW, launched his cannabis companies Willie's Reserve and Willie's Remedy, and graced the covers of Rolling Stone and AARP The Magazine.

This month, a collection of his thoughts on America, family, faith, and music is scheduled to hit shelves as a new book, titled Willie Nelson’s Letters to America.
