PAWNEE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Saturday in Pawnee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 GMC Envoy driven by Zona Rhoades, 25, Kinsley, was southbound on 100 Avenue at Q Road a mile and a half north of U.S. 56.
The driver lost control of the SUV. It traveled into the east ditch and rolled.
A passenger identified as 17-year-old Drew Edward Craghead of Jetmore was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Beckwith Mortuary. EMS transported Rhoades to Wesley Medical Center. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
