KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement in the Kansas City area are investigating reports of fake cash used at businesses.
On social media, the Lawson Police Department featured $100 bills stamped with “this note is not legal, it is to be used for motion pictures."
"Anyone who looks at the bills closely will see that something doesn’t look quite right."
Any business taking a $100 bill should inspect it closely to make sure it doesn’t have the stamp that identifies it as prop money.
