GEARY COUNTY —One person died in a fire on Wednesday in Junction City. Fire crews were called out to the 500 block of 7th Street in Junction City on Wednesday night to the report of a house fire.&nbsp;

After the fire had been extinguished and upon initial search of the structure, crews found one man deceased.&nbsp;

Crews from Junction City Fire, Geary County Rural Fire, Junction City Police Department, Geary County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene. Kansas Fire Marshal arrived on scene to assist with the investigation.&nbsp; The street will remain closed as the investigation is completed.
