ELLSWORTH COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Thursday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Volkswagen Tigan driven by Jose Manuel Quintanilla, 42, Garden City, was westbound on Kansas 156 three mile north of Kansas 14.
The SUV struck a pedestrian identified as Timothy Lee Fosdick, 63, Holyrood, who was crossing the road.
Fosdick was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. Quintanilla and four passengers in the SUV were properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
