SHAWNEE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Monday in Shawnee County.
According to Shawnee County Deputy Abigail Christian, a 2002 Honda Odyssey driven by Terry L. Friesen, 63, of Ozawkie, was eastbound in the 900 block of NE 62nd Street. The minivan traveled off the roadway to the left, through a ditch continued over a driveway, through a field, and came to rest at the tree line.
American Medical Response transported Friesen to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and she was later pronounced deceasd.
She did not appear to be wearing a seat belt, according to Deputy Christian.
