Vandals spray paint vulgar graffiti on businesses in Salina

SALINE COUNTY —Police are investigating a series of graffiti vandalism incidents that occurred in downtown Salina on Saturday night.

Just after 9:30p.m., police were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Santa Fe in Salina after a caller reported seeing three individuals spray painting a detached garage belonging to Compro Realty, 157 S. Santa Fe, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.

Officers found more graffiti spray painted on the alley wall of Martinelli’s Little Italy, 158 S. Santa Fe, the south wall of the AT&T building, 137 S. Santa Fe, and a nearby garbage dumpster. Many of the spray paintings were vulgar, according to Feldman.

The suspects were described as three individuals wearing hoodies. They were seen leaving the area in what was possibly a black Mini-Cooper.

The estimated damage from the vandalism is approximately $600.
