LEAVENWORTH COUNTY&nbsp;–&nbsp;The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Lansing Police Department have identified the human skeletal remains found Feb. 18, in a wooded area in Lansing.

The deceased man has been identified as Derrick U. Collins. He was reported missing from Leavenworth in June of 2022, when he was 59-years-old.

No trauma was noted during the autopsy. At this time there is no evidence of foul play in Collins’ death. Final autopsy results are pending.
