
Tosha Dawn Garrison, 48, of Ness City, formerly of Oberlin, KS, passed
away May 13, 2021, at KU Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1972, in Plainville, KS to Terry O. Garrison and Linda Manning.
Tosha grew up in Oberlin and was a 1991 graduate of DCHS. She then
went on to Colby Community College, where she played softball and then
she received her bachelor’s in 1998 and master’s degree in 2002 from
Fort Hays State University. Tosha moved to Kentucky for 13 years where
she worked for a podiatrist. She moved back to Hays and then settled in
Ness City, where she met the love of her life, Bruce, 2 ½ years ago.
Tosha loved fishing and her chihuahua dogs. She enjoyed watching the
Chili Bowl Race in Tulsa, OK for twenty plus years and watching sprint
car racing; her favorite driver was Tony Stewart. Tosha was known for
her great sense of humor and will be missed by family and friends.
Tosha is survived by her mother, Linda Manning of Oberlin, KS;
father, Terry Garrison of Ness City, KS; brother, Tyson Garrison of
Oberlin, KS; boyfriend, Bruce Barnes and his children, Lexea and fiancé,
Blake, Landon and Lilly of Ness City, KS; grandmothers, Nora Bell
Manning of Oberlin, KS and Marie Garrison of Hill City, KS; lifetime
friend, Sarah Jo Bryant; fur babies, Tread, Sparky, and Stewart; many
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. She is preceded in death by
her grandfathers, Kenneth Manning and Francis Garrison; uncle, Tom
Manning; aunt, Pam Manning; aunt and uncle Pam and Jerry Hudson and
other aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at
Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin. Burial will follow at Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-7:oo pm Monday, May 17, at the funeral home.
