Kansas man accused in violent knife attack that injured two

MITCHELL COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for an alleged violent crime in north central Kansas.

Just after 8p.m. Friday, police responded to Mitchell County Hospital  following a report that two individuals were receiving treatment for stab wounds sustained during an incident at a home in Beloit, according to a social media report from police in the city of Beloit.

During the investigation, officers identified Tyler Lomax, 43, of Beloit, as the suspect in the incident. Lomax was located a short time later and taken into custody without incident. A knife believed to have been used was recovered and secured as evidence.

Lomax was transported to the Mitchell County Jail and is being held on requested charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, Mistreatment of a Dependent Adult

Both victims remain under medical care. Police released no additional details on the extent of their injuries.
