SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of a 1-month-old baby.
Just before 6a.m. Wednesday, police along with Fire and EMS personnel, responded to a report of a one-month-old infant who was not breathing at the Union at Purple Heart Trail Apartments 300 block of South 127th Street East in Wichita, according to Wichita Police Spokesman Kris Gupilan.
Despite emergency response efforts, the infant was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death.
