JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a violent attack that sent a woman to the hospital.
Just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a domestic violence incident in the 14000 block of S. Road south of Mayetta, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The caller reported that the female victim of the incident was lying on the floor of the residence, while the male suspect later identified as Anthony Deshaun Edwards, 26, Lawrence, was pacing nearby.
Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and arrested Edwards on requested charges of second degree attempted murder.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for medical treatment. Edwards is being held in Jackson County Jail where bond was set at $250,000.00, according to Morse.
