Suspect jailed for series of Kansas business burglaries

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a series of business burglaries and have made an arrest.

On October 1 and October 4, police responded to A & A Auto and Truck Parts Inc., 1440 SE Jefferson Street in Topeka, to take reports for two separate burglaries that occurred at the business, according to police department spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.

In each burglary, the suspect took various items.

Throughout the course of the investigation, Curtis D. Callarman, 43 of Topeka was identified as the suspect in the burglaries.

On Tuesday, police arrested Callarman in the 3800 block of SW Topeka Blvd. and later booked him into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charge Burglary and Theft <$1,500 From Building.
