4 injured after crash with KHP motorist assist vehicle

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just before 8:30p.m. Monday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Volvo XC9 driven by Lanae B. Taylor, 33, Wichita, was northbound on Interstate 235 in south Wichita.

The SUV crossed the median into the southbound lanes and struck a 2019 Ford F150 KHP motorist assist vehicle driven by Lyle E. Dewalt, 59, Andover, head-on.

EMS transported Taylor and passengers in the Volvo identified as Jaquellin D.  Holland, 27, and Manuel I. Trujillo, 26, both of Wichita to St. Francis and Dewalt to Wesley Medical Center.

Trujillo was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
