SALINE COUNTY, Mo. —A Kansas man died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Sunday in Saline County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Toyota passenger vehicle driven by Peter L. Stathas, 24, Kansas City, Kansas, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of the U.S. 65 exit.
The driver changed lanes abruptly and the vehicle traveled off the road, struck a guardrail, overturned and the driver was ejected.
Stathas was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported by the Saline County Coroner's office. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
