SEDGWICK COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal weekend accident have identified the victim as 9-year-old Armani Saucedo of Wichita, according to Officer Trevor Macy.
Just after 10p.m. Saturday, police responded to report of a three-car injury accident on eastbound Kellogg at Seneca, according to a statement from Wichita Police.
Investigators learned a 2007 Ford Focus driven by a 27-year-old man was eastbound on Kellogg and side swiped a 2017 Ford F-150, causing the truck to collide with a 2004 Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Ford Focus lost control of the car. It struck a bridge abutment and 9-year-old Saucedo was ejected. The boy was pronounced dead at the the scene, according to Macy. EMS transported a 27-year-old man to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police reported no other injuries. Police continue investigating the cause of the accident.
