
RILEY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a reported rape in Manhattan.
According to a media release from the Riley County Police, the woman told police she was raped in Northeast Manhattan early Saturday morning.
Police are asking for anyone who has information on social gatherings and guests Friday night through Saturday morning in the area of 6th and Kearney to please contact Detective Jessie Ehrlich.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, average build.
His hair is described as a really short light brown hairstyle, resembling a military haircut. The suspect had a clean-shaven face and was not wearing a hat or glasses.
The type or color of his clothing is unknown. The suspect was last seen running southbound on 6th Street near the area of Kearney at about 2 a.m., according to the RCPD.
Initial investigation suggests the suspect drove, or was driven by someone else over the bridge leading to Pillsbury Drive/Highway 177 later in the morning.
