FORD COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a gun accident in Ford County.
On Thursday, the Dodge City Police Department Rangemaster was conducting a routine inspection of a firearm assigned to the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Comanche Middle School, according to a media release from Dodge City Police.
During the inspection, a round was accidentally discharged into a wall. The bullet was recovered, and no injuries were reported.
The Dodge City Police Department will conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
