Wanda Cannon

Wanda Cannon was born on May 20, 1938 in Tuthill, South Dakota to Dennis and Maize (LaPointe) Bettlyuon.  She died at her home on Sunday May 10, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.  Wanda  grew up in South Dakota and attended school there graduating from high school.  

She met her husband Raymond L. Cannon and started on the road as a long haul truck driving team.   To this union several children were born.  

Wanda had lived in Osborne, Ks. the last four years with her daughter Kari after living in Sylvan Grove, Ks. for several years. She was very proud of her heritage as a native american Oglala Sioux.  Wanda also loved cake, as long as it was carrot cake!

Wanda is survived by her children Kari Knight of Osborne, Ks., Jodi Peters of Tonapia, Nevada, Lori Neal of Nevada, Missouri; sons John Cannon of Nevada and Ronnie Wigstone of North Carolina; one brother Linn Bettlyoun of Martin, So. Dakota, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Raymond who died in 2010.
