SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a homicide that occurred Friday evening and have identified the victim as&nbsp;Joseph Hill, 26, of Topeka, according to Lt. Jerry Monasmith.

Just after 6:30 p.m. the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center began receiving multiple calls about a possible shooting in the 1200 block of NE Quincy Street in Topeka, according to police spokesperson Gretchen Koenen.

Officers arrived on scene a short time later and located Hill outside a residence in the area suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are asking community members in the area to review their home security camera footage and report what they might find.&nbsp;
