Robbery investigation leads to arrest of Kansas woman

SALINE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities investigating a February 23 armed robbery at a residence in the 6000 block of North Cunningham Road in Saline County have made an additional arrest. 

On Thursday, deputies executed two more search warrants at a residence in the 1300 Block of East North Street in Salina, the residence of Valerie Vogel, 26, according to Saline County Sheriff's Lieutenant Jeremiah Hayes.

During that search, deputies located a couple of pipes and some syringes. K-9 Maggie also located approximately an ounce of methamphetamine in her vehicle, according to Hayes.

On February 23, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of North Cunningham Road for the report of an armed robbery. Two victims were driven to that location by alleged perpetrators while a second vehicle arrived at the scene with more alleged perpetrators to help with the robbery, according to Hayes.

The two victims were dragged from the vehicle and their money was stolen. The suspects then got back in the vehicles and left the two victims at the location. The victims walked to a nearby residence and called authorities. Deputies reported five arrests in the case Thursday.
