SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on drug and additional charges after she ran from a stolen vehicle.

Just after 6p.m. Tuesday, a deputy sheriff observed a gray 2008 Ford Fusion driving in the 3700 block of SW South Park Avenue, according to Deputy Abigail Christian. The deputy recognized the vehicle from recent criminal intelligence as reported stolen.

The driver refused to stop and a short twenty second pursuit ensued before the vehicle drove off the roadway and three occupants fled on foot.

The Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit and K9s assisted in locating two of the occupants, Kyle L. Tyler, 31, and Amanda M. Patton, 32, both of Topeka.
