Update: 2 hospitalized after truck overturns on I-70

LINCOLN COUNTY— Two people were injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Wednesday in Lincoln County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Freightliner box truck driven by  Nikaj Amarildo, 44, Grand Blanc, MI., westbound on Interstate 70 near the Beverly, Carneiro exit.

The truck entered the north ditch and struck a delineator post. The driver overcorrected, entering the median, the eastbound lanes and overturned, coming to rest in the eastbound lanes facing north.

EMS transported  Amarildo and a passenger in the sleeper identified as  Adrian M. Endsley, 43, Lacona, NY., to Salina Regional Medical Center.

LINCOLN COUNTY — Traffic was slow on eastbound Interstate 70 Wednesday morning.

Both lanes were blocked from an over-turned box truck in far eastern Lincoln County near the Beverly, Carneiro exit, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol

 Traffic was still able to pass when driving on the median shoulder. Authorities have not reported any injuries.
