Kansas man dies after SUV strikes concrete base of KDOT sign

WYANDOTTE COUNTY— One person died in an accident just before 3p.m. Friday in Wyandotte County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Equinox driven by   Aaron P. Edminster, 31, Wichita, was southbound on Interstate 435 at  Donahoo Road.

The vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck the concrete base of a Kansas Department of Transportation road sign.

EMS transported Edminster to KU Medical Center where he died. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
