Rolling Plains Motor Speedway announced Tuesday afternoon all racing activities at the track will be suspended until further notice due to COVID-19 concerns.

A car show had been planned this weekend in preparation for the annual Sunflower Classic next week.

"The health and welfare of every one of our fans, racers, crew members and volunteers is of the utmost importance at this time," according to the announcement on Facebook.

"Track officials along with city, state and national officials will continue to monitor the situation," the announcement said.
