SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash and have identified the victim as 22-year-old Tyler Bins of Wichita.
Investigators have learned that just before 4:30p.m. Wednesday Binz was driving a 2004 Honda motorcycle and a 49-year-old man on a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle were westbound on 21st Street in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson
A southbound First Student school bus entered the intersection at North Sweetbriar Street to turn east onto 21st Street.
The motorcycles struck the bus. Bins was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Davidson. EMS transported the 49-year-old man to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The bus was occupied by a 77-year-old driver and four USD 259 students. Only one student received minor injuries.
Speed involving the motorcycles is believed to be a factor, but the case is still under investigation, according to Davidson.
