SALINE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before noon Monday in Saline County.
A golf car driven by Frederick Meyer, 84, was traveling in the 8900 Block of South Gypsum Valley Road south of Gypsum to check his mail, according to Saline County Sheriff's Lieutenant Jeremiah Hayes.
The golf cart traveled into the ditch and rolled. Meyer was ejected and the golf cart landed on him.
Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Hayes.
A passerby noticed the golf cart in the ditch and called Meyer's family, who found him and notified authorities, Hayes added.
