Kan. man accused of theft of over $380K from employer

HUTCHINSON—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man for alleged embezzlement in Hutchinson.

Just after 9 a.m. Thursday officers responded to B & B Hydraulics, 2400 Line Road in Hutchinson in reference to a theft, according to a media release.

Officers learned that an employee of the business identified as Anthony Joseph Mills, 54, Hutchinson, had used company funds to pay personal debts from 2017 to the present. Through the investigation, detectives determined that the total loss was approximately $384,000 over that period.

He faces potential charges of embezzlement and computer crimes and is being held in the Reno County Jail.
