Kan. man hospitalized after pickup rear-ends school bus

LYON COUNTY — One person was transported for treatment following accident just after 7:30a.m. Thursday in Lyon County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Eldon L. Austin, 65, Eureka, was traveling on Kansas 99 at Kansas Road and rear-ended a 2009 International School bus from USD 292 and driven by Larry Bolz, 62, Olpe.

Bolz and 30 students on the bus were not injured.  EMS transported Austin for treatment of a possible medical condition unrelated to the crash, according to the KHP.
