Police: Man hospitalized after alleged stabbing in Salina

SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating an alleged knife attack that sent a man to the hospital in Salina.

Just after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the Salina Regional Health Center emergency room for the report of a man who was stabbed, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester.

Officers found a 24-year-old Salina man who had two stab wounds to the torso. The man was later taken into surgery to repair his wounds.

The only information the man told police was that he was somewhere on South Ninth Street when he was attacked from behind by a white male who was approximately six feet tall and wearing a black hoodie and black pants, according to Forrester.
