TOPEKA –Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting and have one person in custody.
Just before 1a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of SW Van Buren in Topeka, regarding a shooting, according to Lt. Steve Roth.
On arrival, officers located a deceased man. Quick follow up led to police taking of a female person of interest into custody. This investigation is currently underway. The identity will be withheld until notification can be made to the family, according to Roth.
