FORD COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 3p.m. Friday in Ford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 BMW passenger car driven by Abraham Sanchez, 17, Dodge City, was southbound on 14th Avenue in Dodge City and struck the front of a 2017 Honda Civic driven by Duffield, Mary A. Duffield, 71, Dodge City, that was turning left from 14th onto an access road leading to Walmart.
EMS transported Duffield and Sanchez to Western Plains Medical Center where she died. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
