Kansas man dead, 2 children hospitalized after crash

MCPHERSON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 8a.m. Tuesday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Lexus driven by Alberto Garcia, 26, McPherson, was northbound in the 2300 Block of 14th Avenue approximately four miles south of Lindsborg.

The driver  lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the southbound lane. A southbound 2010 Ford F450 driven by  Chase Brown, 22, Hesston, struck the Lexus on the passenger side.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Wichita Forensics.

EMS transported passengers in the Lexus Karson Garcia, 4, and Aiden Rosales, 6, both of McPherson to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

EMS transported a  passenger in the Ford  Mario Baquero-Moncayo, 53, Las Vegas, NV., to the hospital in Salina. Brown and two other passengers in the Ford were not injured. Three passengers in the Ford were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
