Nearly an inch of rain fell in Hays on Sunday.
According to the official report from the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town, Hays received 0.98 of rain on February 23.
It's the first substantial moisture during February. Until Sunday, only 0.08 of moisture had been recorded this month, for a total of 1.06 inches as of 8 a.m. Feb.24.
The year-to-date moisture total is 2.05.
Seasonal snowfall is at 11.10 as of Monday. The weather forecast is calling for a chance of snow tonight into Tuesday.
