SUMNER COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 6:30a.m. Tuesday in Sumner County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1993 Chevy Cavalier driven by Rickie Joe William, 65, Dewie Ok., was eastbound on East U.S. 160 just east of Broadway and struck a pedestrian identified as Joseph Edward Franklin Darling, 48, Atoka, Kansas, who was on the road.
Darling was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Heritage Funeral Home.
Authorities released no additional details.
