Charles K. 'Chuck' Sproul

Charles K. “Chuck” Sproul, 73, Hays, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at his home.

He was born June 15, 1946 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the son of James and Ruby (Ninemire) Sproul.  On August 28, 1965 he was united in marriage to Virginia L. “Gina” Keller in Ellis, and they celebrated over 54 years of marriage.  He was a farmer, worked for Ellis County Feeders, and was a roustabout in the oilfield.  Chuck enjoyed racing, hunting, welding, carpentry, and he was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed tinkering and building things.  He and his wife loved dancing, and he loved his family, grandsons, granddogs and animals.

Survivors include his wife; Gina of the home, two sons; Kenny Sproul and wife Jodi and Chad Sproul and wife Jennifer, all of Hays, a daughter; Deana Sproul of Ellis, two grandsons; Dakota Sproul and girlfriend Kaitlyn Richmeier of Hays and Dawson Sproul of Stanford, CA, and two brothers; Earl Myers and wife Cheryl of Mountainburg, AR and John Munstermann and wife Shelley of Lincoln, NE.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine Street.  Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time at the chapel.  Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of the High Plains or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Condolences and memories of Chuck may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com
