Police: 2 teens involved in carjacking at Kansas mall parking lot

SEDGWICK COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a car jacking and looking for two teen suspects.

Just before 8:30p.m. Monday, police responded to report of a carjacking call in the parking lot at Town East Square in the 7700 Block of East Kellogg in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

A 57-year-old employee of JC Penny told police that as she left work and walked to her car, two unknown suspects approached. One suspect demanded her keys. They battered the victim, and fled in the woman's Silver 2003 Buick Park Avenue with a Kansas tag 401JGS, according to Davidson.

One suspect is described as a 14-year-old, light skinned black male, 5-foot tall, 100 pounds and wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants. The second suspect was described as a 17-year-old black male, 5-foot-4, 140 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
