Update: Evacuations over, U.S. 54 still closed due to Pratt Co. gas leak

PRATT COUNTY —For those that were evacuated due to the gas leak east of Cullison, officials were maintaining the evacuation zone until after sunrise so they can get a good assessment of the situation, according to Pratt County Emergency Management.

Authorities will post updates throughout the day Monday. For those traveling west of Pratt towards Cullison, they will need to take SW 10th St to West River Road then south to 20th St.

Those traveling from the cullison should take the reverse route. 54 Highway and old 54 Highway remain closed at this time between Pratt and Cullison.


PRATT COUNTY —There has been a gas line leak approximately 2 1/4 miles east of Cullison, according to a social media report from Pratt County Emergency Management.

This leak will more than likely not be fixed until sometime Monday  due to safety concerns.

Residents within 2 to 3 miles of the site should evacuate to the municipal building in Pratt.

"Crews are monitoring the area and if further evacuations are needed, authorities will let the public know."

U.S. Highway 54, old Highway 54 between Pratt and Cullison are closed as is the railroad. Pipeline crews are on scene and evaluating the line.

Schools in Pratt are open Monday.
