Man arrested for string of Kansas burglaries

SHAWNEE COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect in connection with a string of burglary cases in Kansas.

Just after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were notified of a vehicle burglary at Sherwood Apartments, 2745 SW Villa West Drive in Topeka, according to Lt. Manuel Munoz.

Several items were taken during the burglary, including a firearm.

Throughout the course of the investigation, suspect information was developed and Cory J. Pruyser, 29 of Topeka, was taken into custody in the 5300 block SW 10th Street.

Investigators determined that Pruyser was a suspect in two other burglary investigations.

Pruyser was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated burglary, Theft < $1500 All Other, Theft of Firearm, Burglary and Possession of stolen property.
