RUSSELL COUNTY — One person died after a weekend accident in Russell County.Just before 3 p.m. Saturday, Russell County 911 dispatched emergency crews to 183 Street and Four Corners Road south of Russell for a report of a fisherman who had fallen through the ice, according to a media release from the sheriff's department.Just before 3:30 p.m. emergency crews recovered and transported 72-year-old <a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/5e133f9557544d3fe90e8e4a">James L. Schoenberger</a> of Russell to Russell Regional Hospital, where he later died, according to the release.The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks conducted a boat accident investigation in conjunction with the Russell County Sheriff's Department.
