OSAGE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities continue their now three-week investigation in connection with a woman who was found bound and unconscious in a vehicle in Douglas County.
In the early morning hours of November 3, investigators from Osage County responded to the former Wakarusa Valley school building southwest of Lawrence, according to the sheriff’s department.
The incident started in Osage County and none of the crimes involved occurred in Douglas County, according to the sheriff's department. It also had no connection to the school district or school property, according to USD 497. Law enforcement just found the vehicle parked there.
In over 3-weeks, authorities have released no additional details in the case including the health of the victim.
Many agencies including Topeka Police, Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are participating in the investigation, according to Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn.
She reported Wednesday that authorities have made no arrests in the case.
